We have been trying for the past 9 months to have our mortgage modified to either a lesser amount or to have what we are behind in payments rolled to the end of the loan or both. After giving us a list of documents that they request for the approval process to begin, we get notification of denial after months of tug of war about such documentation. Once someone finally does review the package, we receive a letter of denial pertaining to not providing the information requested. This will be the 5th time that the same reason has been given to us even though we have all the information kept in a file from all the times that we have tried for the HAMP. We have even spoken with different customer relationship managers that confirm their receipt of the necessary documentation. We thought that with the new law that Obama set in place that mortgage companies were supposed to do something for the homeowners to avoid homes going into foreclosure and families losing their homes. In this case among many that we've read about, BOA doesn't do squat but profit the money granted to them for each case and families are still losing their homes because BOA is using this tactic on thousands of homeowners.
